From time to time, Cheapass Games delves into the frightening abyss that is our basement. Nigh upon thirty years of sedimentary layers conceal pockets of unsold greatness, which we will from time to time consign to this listing. Check back often!
The 2017 version of Before I Kill You, Mister Spy… features slightly smaller than poker-sized cards, and the spy card backs are blue, rather than the fetching tangerine color in the latest edition. The rules remain the same (though we are promising a small rules update later in 2026). Learn all about Mister Spy and our other spy games at their product page.
The 2017 Button Men boxed set, “Beat People Up,” includes 48 character cards from Fight City, 30 dice, and the complete game rules. This edition is just the newest edition of a game that dates back to 1999; read all about it on the Button Men product page.
We have a few copies of the Lord of the Fries Superdeluxe Edition, as well as the four matching restaurant theme decks, from 2015. Each restaurant deck is a stand-alone game, including the rules and menu; you need one six-sided die. Choose from Las Cabezas (Mexican), Ghicciaroni’s (Italian), Long Wok (Chinese) or McPubihan’s (Irish Pub). Learn more about Lord of the Fries at the product page. Note that Lord of the Fries cards vary in size across editions, so if you want to mix different decks together, check that they are from the same era. All of our newer card games from DriveThruCards are poker sized (2.5” x 3.5”), while the Superdeluxe Edition of Lord of the Fries (2015) and its associated restaurant decks are slightly smaller.
The Secet Lair of Doctor Lucky is an alternate board for the classic Kill Doctor Lucky, featuring our Mister Spy theme. This board is playable with the cards in the Tideover Edition deck, as well as any edition from 2016 forward. You will need to provide your own pawns, and you can download the full rules from our Kill Doctor Lucky product page.
Doctor Lucky’s Mansion That Is Haunted is another alternate board for the classic Kill Doctor Lucky, featuring ghosts and special movement rules. This board is playable with the cards in the Tideover Edition deck, as well as any edition from 2016 forward. One False Step for Mankind was one the last white-box games from Phase One of Cheapass Games, and it was the first to feature full-color boards and cards. It requires four hours and a lot of components: 100 poker chips in each of 4 colors, 40 counters and 3 paper-clips for each player, 2 six-sided dice, and token to designate the leader.
