Kill Doctor Lucky was the original Cheapass Game, packaged in a laser-printed envelope in 1996. The concept was simple: Everyone wants to kill Doctor Lucky, but he’s not called “Doctor Lucky“ for nothing. The game won the Origins Award for Best Abstract Board game in 1997, despite being cheap, rough, and purposefully incomplete.

The Kill Doctor Lucky Tideover Edition is a print-on-demand product, designed to keep this game available while we search for a partner to make the next mass-produced version. It comes in two parts, the deck and the board, both available from DriveThruCards.

Welcome to Lucky Mansion, a sprawling country estate seven miles north of nowhere. It’s a stormy summer evening, just after midnight, and foul deeds are afoot.

You have hated Doctor Lucky for as long as you can remember, and you’ve been secretly awaiting this perfect chance to do him in.
