James Ernest Writes Off Another Trip to VEGAS might just be the weakest game in the Cheapass catalog. And someday we hope to improve it. But for the time being, we thought you might like to see this game as it was.

Presented here in its original 2000 edition, VEGAS is a simple game with a gigantic board, representing eight fanciful Las Vegas casino hotels, each with its own games and sweepstakes. Players run around the city playing games, collecting cards, and buying tickets. And the best part is that you can cheat at the games. Try that in the real world!

As with all our print-and-play files, the price for this product is strictly optional. You may also download it for free using the first link below.

Welcome back to your favorite urban playground: Las Vegas, USA. You’ve got a free weekend, a free plane ticket, and five hundred hard-earned American dollars to toss around like Mardi Gras beads.

You know this city’s bright lights and mega-hotels are financed with the blood of a million suckers just like you. In fact, you’re looking a little pale yourself. But this weekend you’ll do whatever it takes to reclaim your long-lost wealth, even if it means staying up all night, downing a gallon of free gin, and even cheating once in a while when the casino isn’t looking.

So what if you get your knees broken. It beats another day at work.

James Ernest Writes Off Another Trip to VEGAS was Cheapass Games #029, and to be clear, it is not the brightest bulb in the marquee. But it did let James Ernest write off a few trips to Vegas, long before he planted hisself there for good.

Players run around this fanciful map of Vegas getting into trouble and playing casino games. As an added bonus, each casino lets you buy sweepstakes tickets, which is how they give away all their profits at the end of the game. This is the second-least reaslistic part of the game, next to cheating at all the games by playing the right cards from your hand.
